Moving Objects Tutorial - Step One

Draw an Autoshape by clicking one of the buttons on the Autoshape Toolbar at the bottom of the interface, and then left-clicking on the page and dragging the mouse in any direction. Release the left mouse-button to finish drawing the autoshape.

Press the ESC or F2 keys, or click the Selection Tool Button on the toolbar to the left to switch to the Selection Tool. You will know you're using the Selection Tool when the Selection Tool Button becomes depressed.

Left-click on the autoshape to select it (8 blue square selection handles appear around it).
