Creating Text Frames Tutorial - Step One

Switch to the Text Frame Tool by clicking the Text Frame Tool Button on the toolbar to the left of the interface.

Left-click anywhere on the page and hold down the left mouse-button. Drag the mouse to begin drawing the Text Frame, and release the left mouse-button when you want to finalize the new Text Frame. The newly created Text Frame will have a grey outline to indicate that it is a text object.
