Applying Outlines Tutorial - Step One

Draw an Autoshape by clicking one of the buttons on the Autoshape Toolbar at the bottom of the interface, and then left-clicking on the page and dragging the mouse while holding down the left mouse-button. Release the left mouse-button to finish drawing the autoshape.

Press the ESC or F2 keys, or click the Selection Tool Button on the toolbar to the left to switch to the Selection Tool . The Selection Tool Button will become depressed.

Left-click on the Autoshape to select it, and 8 blue square selection handles appear around it.
